The Repossession Centre knows that when faced with the thought of repossession there are many questions that you may have and don’t know where to start. We also know that you may want some further information before you contact us which is why we have answered some Frequently Asked Questions below.
How long do I have until I am repossessed?
This is a question that we get in nearly every phone call and this question has no direct answer. We have had phone calls at different stages of this distressing process from receiving a first letter, bailiff attending the property the next day and the property being in auction. At all stages in the process there is a different timescale. The only answer we can give to this question is to get in touch with us as soon as possible. We cannot stress how critical time is as repossession waits for nobody. The more time we have the better it is but nevertheless whatever stage of the process you are in we will have the solution.
My property is listed in an auction, Can you still help me?
Yes, We can still help you. Our experienced team have dealt with all types of cases from the very simple to the extremely complicated. We have dealt with lenders, solicitors, LPA receivers and auctioneers. Even if your property is listed in an auction and has even been sold we will still be able to help you.
What is your criteria?
We do not have a criteria, we understand that you may not be able obtain finance elsewhere which is why we provide a bespoke service. We look at every case individually and identify the best solution to match your needs & circumstances. We then take this information to lenders and organisations to obtain an offer best suited to you.
What if my credit score is poor?
We can appreciate that your credit file and credit score may have been affected by different factors including the arrears and repossession proceedings. We may request a credit file to verify information but this is not a factor for the lenders & organisations we deal with. They’re aware of this and will structure deals tailored for you so it does not matter if your credit score is poor.
What do I do now?
This is the most important question, this is an unfortunate process which occurs for a number of different reasons. For some of our clients it is a first occurrence and is a lonely situation to be in. The answer is to not bury your head in the sand, be proactive in dealing with it and give us a call. Without knowing your circumstances and what stage you are at we will not be able to do anything. Timing is critical and so the sooner you get in touch with us the better it is.
